Scalp Exfoliation

We clarify the length of our hair as needed.....the scalp occasionally needs a fresh start too. I find that it is great to exfoliate from time to time especially if you suffer from itchy scalp, dandruff or mild scalp issues. At the start of fall and winter I like to do my quick exfoliating scalp scrub. Check it out below.

Fall Renewal - Scalp Scrub

1 bowl

1 fork

6 tablespoons of brown sugar
3 tablespoons of a rinse out conditioner

1 teaspoon of flourishing scalp nectar

Blend all ingredients together in a bowl using a fork. It does not need to be blended for long. Just mix enough for everything to be well Incorporated.

Part the hair and apply mixture directly to the scalp.

Gently massage the scalp for approx a minute with the pads of your fingers. No nails...don't scratch. If a particular area is a bit itchy just focus on that area a bit longer.

Rinse the scalp and hair well with warm water. Then proceed with the rest of your wash day.

*Be sure to only make this scrub right before you intent to use it. The sugar will dissolve if made too early or stored. Just toss any unused portion.

    That's it!
Your scalp will be left feeling amazingly refreshed and clean! I love to add mint and eucalyptus because it feels like your scalp is taking a deep breath once it is rinsed out. This scrub is just done to exfoliate the scalp. This should not be a regular part of your wash routine. Some use it more frequently (biweekly) than others due to scalp conditions or excessive buildup. If you do not fall in those categories only do this as needed.
Try it out! I know you'll love it!
Disclaimer: If you have an allergy to any of these ingredients substitute them with something you know you can use or consult with a physician.
