Coconut Water Pick Me Up

Coconut water comes from the inside of a young green coconut. It is usually pretty clear and becomes more opaque as the nut ages. It is a wonderful year round moisturizer making it super beneficial for the hair. This diy is a light detangling pick-me-up for tired tresses. It is very simple to make, very beneficial and smells delicious.

  • 1.5 cups of coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon of each: lavender flowers, marshmallow root, agave nectar/ honey
  • 1 teaspoon of sage leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of flourishing scalp nectar
Steep the herbs and flowers in the hot coconut water. *Note: Can be boiled on the stove for 5 minutes instead.
Cover and allow the water to cool until it is just warm.
Strain the infused water and discard the spent plant material. Pour it into a bottle.

Add the flourishing scalp nectar and agave nectar/ honey to the bottle. Shake very well.

*For info on the flourishing scalp nectar click here.

Use before or after cleansing the hair.
Apply like an oil treatment (no heating this of course).
Wrap the hair and cover for 10-15 minutes.

Rinse the solution from the hair.

You'll notice how easy your hair is to detangle because of the slip from the solution as soon as you start rinsing it out. The hair is left feeling soft, silky and super moisturized. Try it out and share your results in the comment section. Enjoy!
