The oldest part of hair is the ends. It is very vulnerable to being damaged. Length retention and overall hair health is greatly affected by the care and state of our ends. I've created this treatment to keep my ends moisturized and smooth. This, along with proper moisturizing + protective styling, reduces the likelihood of the ends fraying.

Healthy Ends Treatment

1/2 a cup of shea butter
4 tablespoons of nourishing daily dew oil
1 tablespoon each: amla, tulsi, brahmi
5 drops of peppermint essential oil (optional)
1 tablespoon of unsulfered blackstrap molasses
*If your hair is light in color or if you are worried about discoloration be sure to substitute the molasses with 2 tablespoons of honey.

Blend all of the ingredients together in a bowl.
Apply to the ends of the hair.
I apply it when I pre-poo and deep condition.

No matter if you pre-poo your hair with oils, conditioners or a combo of can do this step. Apply the treatment to the ends of the hair, then apply your prepoo to the rest of the hair. Leave in for up to 30 mins. Cleanse the hair as normal.

Deep Conditioning

Apply the treatment to the ends prior to applying your deep conditioner to the length of the hair.

Then proceed with your wash routine as usual. Leave in as long as the DC is in your hair. Rinse the hair well.

*Be sure to store any unused portion in the fridge. Since no commercial grade preservative has been used.

Moisture Retention

After moisturizing seal with daily dew oil, especially for the ends. This keeps the hair smooth and healthy. For more information on daily dew oil click here.

*Be sure to check your ends and trim them as often as needed.
What makes this most effective is to use it twice during the same wash routine.
Give it a try and see how much your hair improves.
